Why so shy?

It's not about me.

Anonymity gives me the freedom to create without the constraints of social expectation or bias. By keeping my identity private, I can ensure that my output remains authentic and unfiltered.

My Story

I started my nursing journey exactly where you might be right now: overwhelmed, doubting my self-confidence, and wondering if I was truly cut out for this profession. Entering my degree straight from high school, I found myself lost in the heavy theory and exhausted by the reality of clinical placement. There were many days spent crying in my car after shifts and nights spent questioning if I should just drop out.

My turning point didn't come from a high grade, it came from hitting rock bottom. In my second year, I failed a practical class. I was burnt out, living off coffee, and felt like the system was working against me.

But that setback became my setup. I decided to stop being a "passenger" in my own education. I stepped up as a Nursing Student Representative to bridge the gap between students and academics, I overhauled my lifestyle to trade burnout for strategy, and I earned a spot in the Australian College of Nursing’s Emerging Nurse Leader program.

By my final year, I wasn't just surviving; I was thriving. I built a national network of mentors and secured my #1 Graduate Program preference at one of the biggest hospitals in Australia.

Today, I am a Registered Nurse at one of the country's leading hospitals. I am also currently undertaking a Master of Nursing, majoring in Leadership and Healthcare Management. Further, one of my main pillars of my career is that I am passionate about life long learning. I wrote The Student Nurse Compendium to be the mentor I wish I had access to from the very beginning. My goal is to show you that a setback isn't the end and to give you the adaptable roadmap you need to go from an overwhelmed student to a confident, high-achieving Graduate Nurse.
